TIDAL CREEK FOOD CO-OP

While not a traditional market, the Tidal Creek Co-op is a staple in Wilmington’s wellness community. The consumer-owned natural food store is filled with fresh, local produce, high-quality organic foods, and environmentally sound products. With a focus on the community, 68% of each dollar spent at the co-op is returned to the community. They focus on using local suppliers that specialize in all-natural, organic food and products.

LOVEY’S MARKET

Lovey’s Market is a one-stop shop for all things organic and wellness-related. They offer a large selection of natural and organic groceries, and specialize in the bulk sale of produce, grains, flours and beans. They carry grass-fed and free-range meats and poultry, as well as vegan and vegetarian groceries. Lovey’s Market has an extensive selection of natural supplements, as well as natural hair and skin products.  The in-house cafe offers an ever-changing menu with items like vegan stuffed portobello steaks or beef stew with gouda cheese grits.

WILMINGTON FARMERS MARKET AT TIDAL CREEK

This year-round farmers market is held every Saturday in front of the Tidal Creek Co-Op. Created in 2018, the founders are dedicated to offering a farmers market with integrity that supplies the demand for quality, local food. The Wilmington Farmers Market at Tidal Creek is a producer-only market, which means they only offer what they cultivate or catch. Find local produce, meats, eggs, bread, seafood and more at the market each week.

RIVERFRONT FARMERS MARKET

The Riverfront Farmers Market is on every Saturday from April until November, rain or shine. The longest running downtown farmers market, this market is conveniently located in the heart of historic downtown, and is less than two blocks from the river. The market is home to eclectic sellers who offer fresh fruits and berries, vegetables, cheese, meats, honey, seafood, and more.

POPLAR GROVE FARMERS MARKET

Located at the historic Poplar Grove Mansion, the Poplar Grove Farmers Market runs every Wednesday from April under September. The market focuses on local farmers and producers and offers them an opportunity to sell local organic produce, herbs and plants. Local herbalists also have spots in the market to sell salves and oils, as well as handmade soaps. The outbuildings of the museum complex are open during market hours.
